BARBARA BLAKEY O’BRIEN - CREATIVE DIRECTOR + PHOTOGRAPHER
Barbara is the founder of Barbara Blakey Photography, The Studio Space Calgary, Honey Workshops and Honey Creative. Starting at the age of eight, she used to take photos of her cabbage patch dolls with desk lamps for lights and a brownie camera in hand.
After having a family and enjoying a successful career in dance, a traumatic life-altering event in 2011 catalyzed Barb to turn to photography in a serious way. It served as a therapeutic outlet, and rapidly developed into a new career.
Since then, Barbara (Aka “Babs”) has become an in-demand creative professional, specializing in commercial, architectural, portrait and event photography. She has amassed an amazing and talented crew of creators to work together with her under the new brand: HONEY.
An avid traveler, she has shot for corporate and personal clients at her studio in Calgary, and on location in Alberta, BC, Ireland, Italy, Austria, New York, Glasgow, Spain, and Hawaii.
MICHAEL BENZ
Michael has an illustrious background in photography, graphic design and event management. He studied at SAIT and has a diploma in New Media and Design Production. Michael has an edgy modern style and lends his masculine touch in his shooting and editing style. He has worked for over ten years in the realms of commercial photography, music events, and serves small businesses and personal clients with a professional approach. He lives in Calgary with his partner Chelsea, and fur babies Jeeves, Lilith and Mo.
NOA-ZEB OFFERGELD
With a deep family background in photography and filmmaking, Noa has been creating commercial and wedding films since 2009 and is the principal at Zeb Films Hawaii. He travels the world making visual love stories for families and also corporate and scenic videos for businesses. He prides himself on his relationships, and ensures that each film has unmistakeable visual impact. Utilizing a curated team of professionals, leading technology and creative techniques, Noa-Zeb strives to give clients an unforgettable film through creative story-telling.
